The Hall does not accept event bookings for young persons between the ages of 13 and 19 inclusive.

We are often booking dates 18+months ahead so do not delay contacting us.

Jubilee Celebrations

The Government has announced that the Queen's jubilee celebrations will take place from 2nd-5th June 2012 (inclusive), Monday being a bank holiday and Tuesday now being declared a public holiday.

We are not accepting public bookings for those four days to give villagers priority over use of the hall.

Pricing - Guidelines

  • Weddings (24hr midnight to midnight): from £300
  • Children's parties (4 hours): £40
  • Daytime slots: from £10/hour
  • Evening parties (Saturdays 5pm - midnight): from £120
  • Other prices upon application. Charity rates available.

Please contact the Hall Manager for a formal quotation. A deposit of 10% of the hire price is required. A damage deposit is required for larger events.

See the Hall Booking Terms and Conditions of Hire (link to PDF below) for more information.

Bars

Bars may be run in the main hall and from the main kitchen only. Bar service providers must be approved by Village Hall Management prior to any event.

Alcohol licence

Because of licensing laws the Hall Management MUST be informed if you intend to operate a non-free bar as there is a limit to permitted licences. An application form should be obtained from the local authority. The Hall Management can advise, if required.

Cleaning Service

A post-event cleaning service is available at a cost of £40.

Questions

If you have any other questions please contact us.

Playing Field, Car Park and the Pavilion

The playing field, car park and the pavilion are managed by Walberton Parish Council; any issues relating to those areas should be referred to the Council (see their Web site for contact details). This is especially important if you are considering putting up any structures or holding any part of your event outside. Fireworks must not be let off on the playing field or in the car park.

The Hall Management does not hold keys to the pavilion and cannot help with access to the building.
